Cerealia

Cerealia is a name of Latin origin, its meaning being “of the spring” or “relating to springtime”. It is also coincidentally known as a major festival in ancient Rome — celebrated in honor of the grain goddess Ceres.

I tried a different style of drawing for this piece, as in this artwork I tried to convey ethereal vibes related to the theme of springtime and the wonders of its large scale – hence, the galaxy featured in the strands of the girl’s hair. The final product was not as ideal as what I had in mind, but overall I think it turned out to have space for different interpretations on what this artwork means.
